With our In House Design, Print and Install services we offer you and your clients exactly what you’re after all under one roof. From simple logo designs to complete stadium graphics; leaflets to building wraps and wall coverings to metal works we have everything you would ever need to ensure your ideas can be realised.
The Art Department, established in 1986 with a small but highly skilled workforce, who specialised in reprographic & finished artwork, have been a very successful company for almost 40 years; developing into one of the nation’s leading graphics providers.
The Art Department embraced the digital age and became one of the first computer-based design studios. The subsequent need for specialist creativity and production led us to form partnerships with specialist manufacturers of printing equipment that was being developed at the time. In 1992 we installed one of the first wide format colour print solutions in the UK.
This new age of colour printing gave our company the required platform to spring board into exciting new areas of business. Using this knowledge and expertise, The Art Department researched ways of providing interpretation and way finding in a multitude of environments, giving stunning quality and clarity.
With the ever growing urge to bring something innovative to our clients The Art Department in 2006 stepped up to the plate once again, making way for one of the latest large format digital flat bed printers. This gave our company the ability to produce panels which are far superior in quality and accuracy. Making the entire process far less labour intensive, improved productivity and in turn more cost effect for our clients.
In early 2010 we launched ‘Living Image’ our 3D revolutionary photographic technique which has been extensively researched and developed over 5 years by Create3D and The Art Department. Conventionally 2D photography loses the moment however ‘Living Image’ captures that moment, retains it and offers it over and over again.
With ever increasing strains on time scales, yet high demand for excellence, the company in the early months of 2011, modernised their cutting ability with a new 3D contour cutter. The cutter brings greater accuracy and control over manufacturing. Plus with the ability to now print and cut direct from the flatbed, efficiency has dramatically increased the work flow and day to day running of the company; giving us more time to focus on new innovative ideas to support all our clients graphical concepts.
No matter how large or small your project may be, we at The Art Department will provide you with a comprehensive service from concept to completion.
